Porc Chops with Apples and Maple Syrup

4 servings

4 pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
salt and pepper
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup apple juice
1 pkg demi-glace roast gravy mix
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 apples, cut in chunks

Season pork chops with salt and pepper. In large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; brown pork chops, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Add apple juice; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

In small bowl, stir together roast gravy mix, water and maple syrup. Gradually add to skillet, stirring constantly. Bring to boil; reduce heat, add apples and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
